Lovely chic / stylish eating & drinking spot. The sea food platter is delicious & excellent value @ £45 for a two share meal. Excellent

I recently spent a lovely weekend in Lincoln. The castle, the cathedral and a gig at The Drill. I wanted a hotel in amongst it all and chose the White Hart. Location wise this ticks all the boxes. A few things to consider. It is at the top of the 4th steepest road in England, the aptly named "Steep Hill." Walking back of a nighttime, suitably fed and watered, I do admit to a number of puffing, heart rate slowing pauses before I made it to the top. I am however the wrong side of 59 and size 32" trousers..... The second seems obvious but the cathedral does ring the bells every 15 minutes. Personally, I loved it but just be aware. Talking of noise, there was a wedding reception on the Saturday night that even drowned out the bells! I'm not certain what the hotel can do about it but if I'd booked for a peaceful, cultural weekend, I would have been disappointed. As it is, earplugs are part of my "weekend away" grab bag. The room was nicely appointed with the only disappointment being the wifi, which did not reach the living area. It was fine by the room door and in the toilet (?!) I left my phone by the door and hotspot to my tablet. Maybe a repeater in the room or further down the corridor? The breakfast was fabulous. A brilliant selection of cold and cooked to order hot plates. The service throughout was very good. The 4 stars is due to the noise on Saturday night and the poor wifi signal in the room.

Best location in the Heart of Town . Georgian Character well presented in the decor and overall atmosphere. Great customer service at reception . Not enough staff service for the bar and the restaurant ?! when is busy the wait for coffee or drinks is over the general acceptance

We stayed at the White Hart for work and had a great experience. We had an issue with our door handle not locking when we arrived and the team were immediately trying to solve it, swiftly moving us to another room… which happened to be a suite! Breakfast was great too, and the whole thing was excellent value.

Nestled in the heart of Lincoln’s historic district ,the White Hart Hotel is situated between Lincoln Castle and Lincoln’s magnificent medieval cathedral. Located on Bailgate, an ancient cobbled street lined with independent shops and restaurants, the hotel’s vibrant atmosphere is further enhanced by its location. Upon arrival and departure, guests are greeted by the courteous bowler-hatted doorman, adding to the overall hospitality experience. The hotel’s refreshing and contemporary ambience is complemented by traditional elements, creating a unique blend of styles. The professional, welcoming, and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable, and we will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed here for 4 nights, staff really nice , its good to see a hotel that is having money spent on it, Nice bar area prices reasonable , Location is great for castle etc, and is at top of the steep hill Breakfast all very nice with good quality food. Evening food very nice .

Lovely location, we had a lovely view. The room was very nice and really neat. The best part of visiting The White Hart Hotel was the exemplary breakfast. The service delivered by Mary, Jane and Ella was second to none and when the food came out it was the best eggs Benedict I have had. My mother had porridge with pears and almonds and it was perfect. My father had a full English with his eggs over easy. There were allergies on our table that were easily accommodated. The fruit platter looked so pretty, it was almost rude to take any fruit from it. This morning was a very busy morning yet the delivery of our food was swift and very well presented. I would highly recommend staying here and I will be returning as soon as I can.

I have given a 5 star review although not everything was tip top. This last weekend has been extremely busy but I would not expect a hotel to run out of Prosecco mid Sunday afternoon nor have no orange juice and tomatoes for the full English breakfast on Monday morning. Not our first time staying and in fact our daughter was married at the hotel and we have already booked our next visit. The room was excellent as was the bathroom and the staff first class in the lounge and reception.

This is my 2nd visit to the White Hart with work and for good reason. I really enjoyed my first stay and was glad i could book it again for this trip. It’s really well located in the scenic part of Lincoln near the cathedral, there’s lots of shops, restaurants and bars near by. Car parking is close by with a voucher from the hotel (£10) The rooms are really nice and well equipped. Restaurant wise I only had a drink in the bar and breakfast but both were very good and really nicely set with an air of top quality. Definitely would recommend this place and each time I come to Lincoln I will aim to book.

My partner surprised me for my birthday here and we had a great time. we were seated in a corner which I preferred and the staff were all so kind to us. The food was beautiful and tasted fantastic. will definitely go again
